Mechanical Interlock

A mechanical interlock that stops two contactors from closing at the same time. No auxiliary supply required.

The mechanical interlock physically prevents two side-by-side contactors from closing simultaneously. It removes the risk of shorting two sources together during mains-to-generator changeover, in star-delta starters and in motor reversing circuits. It clips onto the front of the contactors, needs no separate electrical supply and works mechanically, independently of the control circuit. The glass-fibre reinforced polyamide body resists impact and heat. Compliant with IEC 60947-4-1.
